　　煙草在線據(jù)《太陽(yáng)報(bào)》報(bào)道編譯　　日煙國(guó)際馬來(lái)西亞公司希望政府確保，在2013年預(yù)算中,卷煙消費(fèi)稅的任何提高都不會(huì)使該國(guó)非法卷煙的情況惡化。

　　“人們猜測(cè)政府可能提高卷煙消費(fèi)稅率，每年在距預(yù)算公布的較近時(shí)間內(nèi)都會(huì)有這種猜測(cè)。我們希望政府了解這樣一個(gè)事實(shí)，即卷煙稅的任何猛烈大幅的上漲將不可避免地導(dǎo)致非法卷煙貿(mào)易相應(yīng)的大幅增長(zhǎng)，”日煙國(guó)際馬來(lái)西亞公司總經(jīng)理Shigeyuki Nakano在9月12日的一份聲明中說(shuō)道。

　　“我們并不反對(duì)提高卷煙消費(fèi)稅。但我們建議，任何提高都應(yīng)考慮現(xiàn)在的機(jī)會(huì)，以進(jìn)一步處理非法卷煙的情況。因而，我們希望任何提高都是適度的，”他補(bǔ)充說(shuō)道。

　　在馬來(lái)西亞生產(chǎn)柔和七星、云斯頓、沙龍和駱駝等卷煙品牌的日煙國(guó)際稱，以低于馬來(lái)西亞政府規(guī)定的最低卷煙價(jià)格銷售的非法卷煙銷售仍是一個(gè)大問(wèn)題。

　　由馬來(lái)西亞煙草制造商聯(lián)盟委托進(jìn)行的一項(xiàng)針對(duì)非法卷煙的最新調(diào)查結(jié)果顯示，在2012年3至5月期間，馬來(lái)西亞非法卷煙的市場(chǎng)份額仍高達(dá)34.7%。

Malaysia: JTI Calls for Moderate Excise Tax Hike

　　JT International Bhd (JTI) hopes the government will ensure that any possible excise tax increase on cigarettes in Budget 2013 will not worsen the illegal cigarette situation in the country.

　　"There has been speculation, as does happen during the period closer to the budget announcement each year, of a cigarette excise rate increase. We hope the government will take cognisance of the fact that any drastic sudden hefty increase in cigarette taxes will inevitably lead to a corresponding large increase in illegal cigarette trade," JTI Malaysia managing director Shigeyuki Nakano said in a statement today.

　　"We are not against any cigarette excise increase. But we propose that any increase should take into consideration the opportunity now to address the illegal cigarette situation further. Therefore we hope any increase would be moderate," he added.

　　JTI, which makes cigarette brands like Mild Seven, Winston, Salem and Camel in Malaysia, said the sale of illegal cigarettes that are sold below the government-mandated minimum cigarette price continues to remain a major concern.

　　According to the latest illicit cigarettes study commissioned by the Confederation of Malaysian Tobacco Manufacturers, the illegal cigarettes level in Malaysia remains high at 34.7% during the March-May 2012 period. Enditem
