　　位于弗吉尼亞州里士滿的環球公司稱，它的弗吉尼亞煙草子公司將與植物萃取公司——Avoca公司合資創立AmeriNic公司。

　　環球公司稱，這項新業務將使用來源完全明確且合適的煙草，在美國生產醫藥級的液體尼古丁。生產工作有望在2013年年底前啟動。

　　環球公司的首席執行官喬治·弗里曼三世強調稱，電子卷煙業正在快速增長，該公司期望成為這個新興市場的一個可信賴的、提供優質產品的供應商。

US: Tobacco Supplier Universal to Make Liquid Nicotine

　　Tobacco leaf supplier Universal Corporation is launching a joint venture to produce liquid nicotine for the electronic cigarette industry.

　　The Richmond, Va.-based company said its Virginia Tobacco Company subsidiary is joining botanical extraction company Avoca Inc. to create AmeriNic Inc.

　　Universal says the new business will produce pharmacy-grade liquid nicotine in the U.S. using fully traceable and compliant tobaccos. Production is expected to begin before the end of 2013.

　　CEO George Freeman III noted that the electronic cigarette industry is growing rapidly and that the company looks forward to being a reliable, high-quality supplier for the emerging market.
