煙草在線據《納米比亞人報》報道編譯　　許多納米比亞人的生活幸福指數將會下降，因為卷煙和酒類的價格2月23日上漲了5%——20%，糖類的價格在2月20日上漲了7%——9%。

　　2月22日，南非財政部長Gordhan Pravin宣布煙草產品消費稅將上漲5%——8%，煙民的吸煙預算也將因此上漲。作為南非消費聯盟（SACU）的一員，納米比亞的煙草稅上漲立時生效。

　　Pravin酒的消費稅上漲20%，啤酒的消費稅上漲10%，葡萄酒的則上漲8%。

　　除了罪惡稅，糖類價格也將在本周（2.27——3.3）上調。在2月22日的聲明中，Namib Mills表示，糖類的價格將在2月27日上漲7%——9%。

　　“傳統食用糖在倫敦和紐約的交易價格導致國際市場糖類價格上漲，緊隨其后的生產成本上升，才致使國內糖類價格上漲。”Namib Mills說。

　　LIFE is set to become less sweet for many Namibians, with the price of cigarettes and liquor jumping by between five and 20 per cent today, and the sugar price increasing by between seven and nine per cent on Monday.

　　Nicotine addicts' budgets will be going up in smoke after Gordhan Pravin, South Africa's Minister of Finance, yesterday announced that customs and excise duties on tobacco products will rise by between five and eight per cent. As Namibia forms part of the Southern African Customs Union (Sacu), the increases become effective locally at the same time.

　　The same applies to alcohol. Pravin upped excise duties on spirits by 20 per cent, while duties on beer were increased by ten per cent. Tax on wine will rise by eight per cent.

　　Apart from an increase in sin taxes, sugar will also become more expensive next week. In a statement yesterday, Namib Mills said the price of sugar will increase by between seven and nine per cent on February 27.

　　"This is due to more expensive producer prices in the wake of higher international sugar prices on the traditional sugar market exchanges in London and New York," Namib Mills said.
