When Enrique Seijas released the Matilde Limited Exposure last year, he said the brand would become a series, and it looks like he’s sticking to the plan. Dubbed Matilde Limited Exposure No. 2, the new cigars are made with a Dominican-heavy blend and should hit retailers by the end of February.

Like the first Limited Exposure, the No. 2 is produced in the Dominican Republic at boutique factory Tabacalera La Isla, and comes in only one size, a Toro measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge. It’s packaged in slide-lid boxes of 20 and will retail for $10.50 per cigar.

The No. 2 is made with an Ecuadoran Corojo-seed cover leaf (a change from the original, which has a Mexican wrapper), Dominican Havana 2000 binder and a filler of Criollo ’98, Corojo, Havana Vuelta Ariba (HVA) and Piloto Cubano tobaccos. Aside from the wrapper, all of the tobaccos are from the Dominican Republic.

The new Matilde Limited Exposure No. 2, which is distributed by Sutliff Tobacco Co., is being previewed at the Tobacco Plus Expo convention in Las Vegas, which started today.
