People all over the United States look forward to the day after Thanksgiving for unprecedented sales on everything from televisions to clothes. Since 2015, fans of Nicaraguan cigars also look forward to new smokes from HVC Cigars. This year’s Black Friday 2021 Limited Edition Short Toro will be heading to stores at the end of the month.

The new stubby cigars are covered in Connecticut Broadleaf wrappers over a binder and filler mix of Nicaraguan Criollo ’98. Measuring just 4 3/8 inches by 54 ring gauge, the cigars will retail for $9.50. Only 600 boxes of 50—or 30,000 cigars—will be sent to shops, each box selling for $475.

The HVC Black Friday 2021 Limited Edition Short Toros were made at the TABSA factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. The company, mostly known for its Hot Cake and Cerro lines, has been rolling cigars since 2011 when master blender Reinier Lorenzo decided he would honor Havana City (hence HVC) where he was from.
